Is there a good amp setting with no effects or any modeling that will work good with external stomp boxes/modeling box such as Boss GT10 or some of the new iPad apps like Ampkit+?

What do you mean by "no effects or any modeling"? I thought that all of the amplifiers available in the GDec are modelled.

The best preset to use would be the Blackface Dry, which is somewhere in the 90s on the original G-DEC 3s.

If you wish to create your own, start with the Jazzmaster model and put everything at 5, with no effects.

Somewhere I've read Fender's answer to this flat/neutral question is the Jazzmaster amp model.

I'd imagine the Blackface would be too scooped.

Hi bclarke675 and Bezmotivnik,
Good info, thanks. I'd assumed that he'd meant a minimally modded amp model in the original query, but wanted clarification.
Without the straight goods from Fender, I'd agree with Blackface Dry and Jazzmaster.
I used the Blackface Dry with the controls set to midrange for testing when I descended into the abyss of changing pup pole heights on my Gretsch Chet Atkins (2 pups, each with 2 parallel sets of 6 pole adjustments  )
I would adjust, make notes and record each change so I could pick out the setting that I liked the best.
Best,
Alex
