Everything I play through the aux-in has the selected preset effect applied to it. How do I get a clean (unprocessed) sound using the aux in jack? Changing the preset changes the effect applied to the signal coming into aux in... I just want to be able to play my mp3 player through the G Dec (clean) and play along with it through one of the guitar inputs(processed)....
Thanks

Hi nevkroeg,

You should not be hearing the Preset effects through the Aux input at all. I assume you tried disconnecting your guitar and just playing your mp3 player through the amp's Aux input? If so, and you are hearing something other than a clean signal through the Aux input on the amp, please let us know, and we will be glad to assist further. Thanks.

Hi Alan - that is correct - no guitar plugged in, iPod plugged into Aux In and the sound is being processed by the presets (when I change the preset, the sound of the mp3 changes accordingly) The volume and tone of the playback is controlled by the 'Volume' knob and the 'Guitar Tone' knob. The 'Band Level' has no impact on the level of the playback, but seems to have a VERY slight impact on the tone (slightly more top end when 'Band Level' is on 10)

I tried reloading the latest firmware (v1.04) and this made no difference... Is there some way to reset the amp or would the firmware update have done that anyway?

Thanks,

Neville Kroeger

Hi nevkroeg,

If I am understanding you correctly, it sounds like your amp is not allowing you to control the Band Track output with the 'Band' level knob. Is this correct? If so, you will likely need to have the amp looked at by a service center. Please let me know if I can assist further.
