is this possible? I had some custom presets with band tracks but fuse won't restore the band tracks. I would like to restore the backup from the sd card by moving the backup information to sd and restore from there. can it be done? if so, how?
thanks

Hi jimh54,

I am happy to assist. But I am not understanding completely here. Can you please clarify specifically where you backed up to and exactly what all you backed up and where you would ideally like to restore to? Thanks very much.

Hi AlexeiY,

No worries. I think it would have been 10:01pm. Thanks though.

Cheers,

I understand what happened. If Band tracks are located on the SD card and a preset that uses them are in internal memory, and you remove the SD card the band track for that preset shows no band. My issue was not understanding how the band tracks are linked to the presets.
I could not get Fuse to restore the band track with the preset, so I thought if I saved it all to an SD card and restored from there the link would survive. Apparently the G-DEC nor the Fuse software have any kind of hard link between preset and band tracks. That would be logical since you can assign any band track to any preset.

However, this brings to mind another question. Let's say I put all of the presets and all of the band tracks from one of the hal leonard Book/SD cards on another SD card with all of my other presets from a custom set. Will the proper band tracks still be linked to the proper presets or must I make the link on the G-DEC front panel?

Hi jimh54,

Thanks for your reply. If I am understanding your current question correctly, the global concept here is that Band Tracks can live in three main locations. These are your local PC hard drive, your amp's hard drive or an SD card, If you have Band Tracks located on the PC, you can save them to the amp's drive or (if inserted) an SD card. Once the Band Tracks are on an SD card, you can associate them with a Preset (on the amp's hard drive 00-99). When the Band Tracks from an SD card are associated with Presets, you will, as you stated need to have the SD card inserted in the amp so that it can access the Band Tracks for those Presets.

You can use Fender FUSE to organize your entire content library including data from the PC, the amp and your SD card(s). And back ups are always encouraged. You can do a manual back up (Documents/Fender FUSE/Presets, or Documents/Fender FUSE/Audio/wav-mp3) or use the Main Menu in Fender FUSE and go to Utilities/Backup. I hope this information is helpful. Please let us know if we can assist further.
