Hello,

I use to play guitar on a GDEC-3 ampli with a headset.
Very often, when output/volume is quite high, my headset crackles, and it's very unconfortable.
I though initially that is was a problem of headset, and when using a new one (Shure), I got the same problem.
Do you have any idea / is there anybody with the same pb ?
Thanks a lot in advance.

Pascal

Check the impedance on your headphones. You may need some with higher impedance, so they don't distort as easily. I had the same problem with my earbuds, but my Koss PRO4AA headphones are about 250 ohms and sound great.

Hi Levier,

You may want to try connecting a pair of computer speakers and testing that way as well. Please let me know how that goes. Thanks.

Thank you for your answers.
Finally I found a workaround: I use to add a compressor effect on presets that are too high as output, and it works quite fine...

Guitaristically yours ;-)

Hi bclarke675,
I use Shure SRH750DJ headset and apparently the impedance is 32 ohms.

Hi Alan,
I don't have any computer speaker at the moment, but as soon as I get some, I'll test and I'll let you know if it works.

Thanks.
