I know you can't do this via the usb connection, but would it be possible to take the audio from my computer (which would be the amplitube signal) and feed it into the gdec via aux input?

basically having the gdec plugged into the computer with usb as a input device, and then feeding the computer speaker output back into the gdec with aux in.

if i do that, would i be able to turn off the guitar volume and just have the computer (amplitube) signal coming out of the amp? I DON'T want to hear the Gdec guitar on top of the amplitube guitar.

Hi rich2k4,

I would like to step back for just a minute and inquire about your overall goal with AmpliTube? Is this the Fender LE version as well? If I understand your overall goal, I think I can assist you in a better, more informed way. Thanks.

I want to be able to create tones in amplitube, and instead of having them play through the computer speakers, i want them to play through the gdec.

Hi rich2k4,

Ok. So, I want to make sure we are on the same page with a couple of things. Firstly, AmpliTube Fender LE is a 'Lite' version of the AmpliTube software. It is very limited as far as model selections. Secondly, if you use your Fender G-DEC 3 as the sound source or input source for your guitar, the guitar tone will come through your PC and in this case through AmpliTube and back into the G-DEC 3, even if you were to come into the Aux in on the amp. Also, I wanted to make sure that you are aware that AmpliTube is not the Editor/Librarian software that can control your amp. That would be Fender FUSE (https://fuse.fender.com)

If you were to use a third party product to input your guitar to your PC that was simply a guitar interface without modeling, you could then return it back to your G-DEC 3 via the Aux input for example. I hope that helps. Please let me know if I can assist further.

Hi, Searching and reading here and fiddling around with my Amplitube buffer settings, I GOT RID OF THE SCREECHING.... and i heard the docile tones of a great Fender Amp from the past...
...on what I imagine is a .15 sec DELAY from strum to output... you hear your pluck on the guitar... wait for it... then you hear the great amp sound on the gdec LOL really?!
I did the same thing as he. I used the gdec basically as a speaker, jazzmaster amp set, I think. Even turned those levels down gain vol, no compressr, no, gate, no flyswatter, nothin.
I got what i think are good represntations of amp sounds from all the Amplitube models (3 for the LE version.) Adding fuz and wah on 2 pedals worked well too. Cabinet, microphone settings i played with. It IS pretty darn cool.

ALL OF THIS on an unplayable fraction of a sec delay.

the epiphone... oops, i just got one of those, the epiphony i just had was i gotta plug my guitar into my pc with line in or maybe my USB3.0 cuz it's faster than regular usb, not docked or a hub either. it says not to do that.... then line out to the gdec or whatever speaker setup you got lyin' 'round.
I got a great laptop with a quad core and more ram than i need. bought cheap ext speakers w a subwoofer, inadequate for this.
my brother though, runs a nice mac w these killer speakers, tiny, clear and they light up, subwf too, he plays his gear thru his mac and some expensive software and it sounds killer.
If you got good sound on your computer you could forget the LINE OUT part and just go for it.

BOTTOM LINE
BOTTOM LINE
BOTTOM LINE :

1. Amplitube doesn't play well with others, I think. Plug guitar into Amplitube(ie, your computer's line in, possibly USB3.0 or mic.) I'LL PROBABLY get a cable for that.

2. Not disappointed with Amplitube at all. The sounds I heard were cool. Fender sent the software w the GDEC amp. LOL. Nobody's fault, just 2 mod amps competing for your guitar's signal, I guess.

3. I loves my GDEC3 Thirty and the FUSE software. Had it less than a week and I change settings and save em and all other stuff.

I literally don't know how to play and I'm having a blast when I plug into it and I'm thinking of forming a fusion techno band,
no, an orchestra with trumpeter swans
overdubbed onto a looping band track
w me as lead guitarist
pushing some just INSANE metal fuzz reverse flanged delayed sine chorus
WITH reverb ON THE Fender '65 Reverb amp setting
MAXED OUT of course, playing 'Felix the Cat'

you do it with the gdec3-30 hee hee,
yeah im havin fun

Hi lsliv21,

I'm glad to hear that you are enjoying your new gear! And yes, latency is often part of the landscape of digital audio software until you get into high-end computers and/or DSP assist cards and systems like Avid ProTools. Anyway, please let me know if i can assist in any way.

Cheers,
