When i insert my SD card (sandisk 4gig) into the card slot on my G-DEC 3 the card clicks into place and is detected by the amp but it does not release that good when i try to remove it,i have to use a little mini clamp to grab it so i can remove it,does anyone else have this problem?

Here is a update,i inserted my SD card again in the slot and then removed it without a problem this time,it released as it should and it came out enough for me to grab the card not using my mini clamp,i think the card is a tight fit with a new amp but after inserting it and removing it several times loosens up the slot a little. I hope it stays this way and keeps working as it should.

My SD card is not releasing as it should again, can anyone from fender tell me if this is a defect or can this problem be resolved?

The SD card clicks into place but i have to still use my mini clamp to remove it because it does not come out far enough to grab with my fingers.

I've never had that problem, nor heard of anyone else having that problem, so I would return your amp for exchange at the store. If they won't help, contact Alan, Loren or Brad directly for help.

Before rushing in with an amp in hand, try another card. A warped card will do this.

I got it working again by putting a very, very light coat of vaseline on the sides of the SD card,i hope the SD card slot keeps working without anymore problems.

Nope, but in my dealings I've seen similar problems from similar items many times and thought it might be worth a look here. If vaseline helps, that's indicating a likely card problem. Some light touch up with an emery board might help. Hey, it's not something too many have problems with, but if your card got sat on, stepped on, run through a drier cycle... If you have kids around, the slot looks real inviting to a nickle (hint hint).
