I'm on my way to building a combo using the metal presets and adding the blues tracks to this in a hybrid fashion. The problem I'm seeing is in backing this up - I've loaded approx. 75 tracks, transferred 6 phrases, and some midis nut haven't finished linking everything to a preset yet. The only tracks backed up are ones that are linked to a preset, the same with midis and NO phrases are in the backup. How do I do a Complete backup so I don't have to do this again? I'm selecting ALL, as in presets and bandtracks along with select all in presets yet if a track isn't linked to a preset, it isn't backed up. Help?

Hi,
You can only back up presets and/or presets and their associated bandtracks via the fuse backup utility. If you want to back up everything that you have (I'm assuming that this is all on your GDec HD) you have to transfer all the info to a computer. This can be done via the utility function on the GDec amp.
If you haven't already, I suggest that you download the GDec advanced manual which can be accessed via this website. It has lots of useful information. I also found the fuse software manual (v2.0??) informative.
Once the GDec HD is backed up, you could transfer the various files to a properly formatted SD card and use this to augment the GDec storage as the supplied HD is od limited capacity.
hth,
Alex

I get what you're saying, but what am I missing due to the fact it takes 2 processes to get it all. I use fuse to backup all presets and their related bands, but to get ALL bands (since not all are attached to a preset, yet), I have to connect it as USB. Is there a better way? The same with phrases. If I don't connect as USB, they are lost - yep, that was double verified when my amp decided to format itself as in my other post. It had only been a couple days since my last backup but I'd made considerable changes and the backup process can take some work to get everything, so... I'm SOL.

If I understand your question, you want to back up what you already have on your GDec HD to your GDec HD? This can't be right???!!?
The Fuse software only allows you to back up presets with or without their associated bandtracks to your computer.
I think that the easiest way to do what you want is to put your various bandtracks and phrases into the appropriate locations on a properly formatted SD card and then you can associate them with your presets on the GDec. You can also easily back them up.
cheers,
Alex

No to the Gdec to Gdec part. I'm looking to backup presets, their related tracks, plus any extras such as un-attached tracks and phrases.

I was wondering, and you can likely answer it here, when associating anything with an SD card, naturally it gets lost when the card is removed. Will a preset relocate its track when the card is returned (provided my amp doesn't format itself)? I haven't had the urge to test this.

yes it will. I do this all the time when I want to b/u or add to my SD card.
cheers,
Alex
