If I take a 1/4" main out from my Yamaha PA head, do you think I can plug it into the GDEC, dial in a clean patch like Acoustic Parlor or whatever and have it serve as a low volume monitor, or should I go to the Aux In on the back? I'm obviously thinking out of the box and really belong in the box lol. Thanks for any thoughts!

If the main out is from a powered head, it won't work due to too much signal to the amp. That signal is to power a speaker and would be too hot going into the Gdec preamp. If it's just a line out, you may be able to send it to the input or aux input on the Gdec.

Yup - it was just line out and I dialed in a clean tone on the GDEC - worked well enough for an emergency situation - thanks for the input LOL
