Hmmm...Here's a pretty basic question - how do I get my mp3 player playing through my G Dec 3? I've hooked it up with the finest Radio Shack 1/4" cable, but get lots of static and marginal volume through the amp, which I've just begun exploring, even though I've had it, and loved it, for over a year! To give you an idea of my techie abilities, I'll confess that it took me fifteen minutes just to log on to this site!! My reading of the sixteen pages of posts indicates that it will be far more useful than the manual!

Plug into the back of the amp thru the "Aux input" jack. it is 1/8th inch. "Inputs: 1/4" guitar input, second input, USB, aux input for CD/MP3 player"

Thanks, Frank - I tried that, but the sound coming through the amp was garbled and faint, which was why I went and bought the "high dollar" cable from Radio Shack. It was no better than the generic I originally used, so there must be another reason.. John

Not being a smartass, but..have you got the volume turned up on the mp3 player? Is it an iPod? (Or iPhone?)

Hey, Loren, and Hobbyist - Thanks for your responses. You were right on target with the volume control on the mp-3 player, Hobbyist! DUH! Talk about simple...now I can move on to more complex issues!

You're welcome! The best fixes are always the simple ones. Especially when they start out making you believe otherwise! ;)
