New to GDEC. I see they now have GDEC thirty models tailored to different styles. I'm particularly interested in the Country model. Is it possible to change the tempo and key on the 100 factory presets? Thanks!

You can change the speed and pitch but it sucks, sound-wise. Even a half tone up or down or even 1% change in tempo and it sounds like caca. I don't even know why they offer this feature when it's so poor. Better to create your own track changes via software on a computer and use that.

Don't get hung up on the different amps (country, blues, etc.) Any one of then can be re-loaded with a different style's presets through the FUSE software.

Hey Ruger9,

How's that G-DEC 3 Country working out for you?

TOTALLY diggin' it. I'm not even messing with fuse, I'm just dragging & dropping the files onto an SD card. Eventually, I'll overwrite the first 10 or so presets to what I use all the time. I'm gonna' have fun working out solos to all these grooves I never play to. I'm already thinking of getting a drum machine & doing some tracks in garageband of my own to put into the GDEC. Can I do that? I haven't gotten that far yet.

IMO, the coolest thing of all is how good is sounds, even with band tracks, at LOW volumes. I love my tube amp, and it sounds pretty good a low volumes, but it can't do LOW volumes... like my wife watching tv in the next room while I'm playing. The GDEC can. And WELL.

I had an original GDEC, and I didn't think it sounded that good. The "3" series seems to be a very nice upgrade not just in backing tracks but also in the modeling engine?

I'm glad you're digging it. The G-DEC 3 definitely has an entirely new modeling engine. I also think low volume playing is where these new modeling amps shine. Not to mention the fact that you can plug in a set of headphones and jam away in near silence.
