Have had the GDEC3 30 for a week and have downloaded the manual & advanced manual. Have not up dated the firmware yet as my computer will not work with fuse. Trying to do simple things like transfer a song from SD to HD. Follow the instructions in the manual but never get it done.Twice lost all songs on the HD but was able to restore OK. Instructions look not to hard but do not work for me.Beleive me I'm not a computer dummy. Anyone know where I could get a book similar to the for dummies books on how to operate this monster? I have read all the discussions. gettin fustrated.

I haven't bought a 3 Thirty yet but I'm contemplating it. Why can't you get Fuse to work on your laptop?

Edit: I just spent some time browsing the Fuse Forum and it put a scare into me. I think I may put off getting a G-Dec because so many people seem to be having trouble using Fuse. I really don't need another hobby.

fuse requires a processor speed that is more than my older Imac has. Also needs later OS than I have. I am just wondering if maybe I am able to update firmware then things will work better according the advanced manual. Believe me I follow all the instructions in the manual and get nowhere. Wonder if it is the firmware or a screwed up amp. Got a different computer coming nest week and will try to update then. Funny found an old post yesterday on how to perform a import from a SD card to the HD and it worked. It's unlike the instructions in the advanced manual.

The Fuse software is NOT mac friendly at all. I have a 27 inch iMac and a Macbook Pro and it simply does not work well with either of them. I have NEVER gotten the backup software to do a full backup and Fuse outright hates the Mac's native drive formatting (Mac OS extended journaled).

That said - the amp itself is an excellent practice amp. If mine died I would probably buy another one.

brfrsc - You can update the firmware on your amp by downloading the latest firmware here:

http://support.fender.com/software/fend ... _v1_04.upd

Copy the file to the root level of your SD card and boot the amp with the SD card inserted. It will prompt you to press the Start/Stop button to install the update.
