I swear I did a search but didn't come up with much. I'm looking for a practice amp. I'm wondering which of these is a better practice amp since they're the same price at GC and both seem to have the same software capabilities, unless I'm missing something. I don't really need the power of the Must III but since it's the same price I wonder if I should be considering it. I have a good gigging amp so what I need is the best for practicing.

Whaaa? No replies on this yet?

By all means, get the G-DEC 3 Thirty!!!

How can you beat SD card simplicity? Or backing tracks so you never play alone again?

All without attaching an mp3 player or a cd player. You can move any of your songs to an sd card and play along with them.

Granted, other than that, its like the Mustang, and the Mustang is nice, but its just another modeling amp. I've had a Mustang - and I'll never give up the G-DEC except to upgrade, like I did from my original 15. The Mustang has been sold.

Also, when you buy 1 G-DEC, you are actually buying 4 amps because you can load the Original Black, Country, Metal, or Blues - and change them up as much as you want, each has its own unique backing tracks and presets.

I know there's lots of love for the Mustang, and respect to them, but for me, I'll go G-DEC.

Thanks, I'm leaning towards the G-Dec. Am I correct in thinking you can play the backing tracks through the Mustang if you plug in a laptop, you just don't have them in the amps memory?

In addition, the Gdec has 100 preset locations that you can tune in your tone to match the song. The loops that come loaded have a tone that goes with them too. The 30 has the line out that you can send to a pa or powered speaker or effectsl loop on another guitar amp.

Drew, I don't know if you can play backing tracks through a laptop usb, like within Fuse, I do know you could go from your headphone jack to the aux input like you would with an MP3 player.

Just another reason I'd get the G-DEC.

But you might ask that question in the Mustang forum.

You can definitely connect an external source (laptop, iPod, phone) to the aux input.
