Can anyone out there give me a pointer or two here.

I'm having a problem with Fuse crashing everytime I save to my amp or SD card.

I've notice that a few people have been talking about "exploring" the files on the amp/SD card directly from their computer.
My problem is that I can't see the amp in my Windows Explorer even when it's connected and so can't save songs directly to the SD card as some other people seem to be doing.

My computer also freezes if I insert the SD card straight into the reader on my desktop.

Is this a problem with drivers or something else?
I'm using a 4 (nearly 5) year old Dell Dimension, Windows XP and an 8GB SanDisk 29MB/s in the amp.

Thanks Dan

OK so after an evening of searching reading etc and fiddling,
I've downloaded a few drivers and got the SD card working in the computer so I can now
bypass the amp and Fuse and simple copy and paste .mpg etc onto the card.

That makes life a lot easier than having to have Fuse crash after every change.

Hey Dan,

Perhaps the SD card was the source of the FUSE crashes you've seen. Have you tried to save from FUSE to the amp or SD card since you've straightened the SD card issues out?

Hi Loren
Yes I have, I still get the crash (I too thought it could have been the drivers.)
Although, I've sorted out the card reader issue , I am still unable to see the amp in my explorer so I have to remove the card from the amplfier.
What is interesting is that the amp syncs fine with my computer so my it knows the amp exsists but the Fender just doesn't come up as a drive like any other removable media does.

Regarding the crash: I've never heard back from Alan who said he would pass it onto the programmers / techies.
I would have appreciated some kind of email to say at least, "we have no idea we can't do anything about it." I have some experience in IT and understand that sometimes a bug is just not recreatable it only needs a conflict somewhere and, POW! the software is up the creek.

I've found my work around and I'll live with it until you release another version and hopefully that will change something and fix my problem.

Thanks

Dan
