I have a gdec 15, and my highway one tone controls don't work. Is it the gdec by design, or strat failure?

Thanks.

thecraigr,

You know that on the Highway 1 the tone controls are bypassed with the pickup selector switch in position 1 (i.e., bridge pickup only), right?

I have a GDec 30 and the tone controls on my Strat only affect the tone slightly. The problem I think is just the presets won't react normally to you guitars tone controls. It doesn't shut them off. Even when I turn all the effects off, the tonal change is minimal. I know it's a pain in the arse, but I would just control the tone from the preset controls. I truly can't stand my GDec 30. I only use it once in a while set as clean as I can get it with my iPod playing backing tracks through it when we record new songs that I need to work a hook out on. I wish I would have bought the Line 6 Spider Jam instead. If you really want a surprise, use headphones with the "studio quality effects" and listen to all the funky digital artifacts and garbage tone they deliver. The original GDec is pretty disappointing. I went to sell it but when the new ones came out, it dropped the value of the originals right through the floor. I was offered $75 for mine. I think the footswitch I have is worth more than the amp.
