Like I said before, hope your right. The price was always $399, so maybe it's just on sale, or not.

Reduced the price? The street price of the 30 is $300. Let's pop over to Musician's Friend, and take a quick look at price and availability. Here's my screenshot:

So, the price is the same as it has always been, (sorry, I don't believe these are on "sale") and all of these are in stock. I just think it's a little premature to pronounce the amps EOL. (end of life)

They were $399 in august, then Dropped to $299 at the beginning of September, if you go to Guitar Center, they are no longer available to buy period. Musicians Friend probably has some stock left is all, but that's what happens when things go out, they reduce the price and then not available, if they were I am sure GC would have them, even sweetwater has none..

Now to see if there is going to be a new one or no more anymore..

Interesting! I did notice that the product numbers are different. The amp in stock is #423443, and the discontinued one is #482080.

I realize these aren't Fender numbers, but something's screwy.

yeh look it up on the internet, it's all over the place, I for one hope they don't come out with a new version, makes no sense to me, but that's how business goes i guess, like Iphone gotta do a new one every 2 years..

No, the price is down $100 from the summer. It was $399 all too recently.

Note that word in red: "Sale."

Note also the price in this link: $399.

http://www.themusicstoreinc.com/FenderG ... ifiers.php

And see in this link, where the amp isn't even available:

http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/ ... KgodBlTxmw

Look, I have no dog in this race. I'm not an FMIC private shareholder, although I've practically been a walking advertisement for the company since the early 1990s. I *hope* the amp is doing well. But if you're attentive, you notice these things.

Yes, that Sweetwater link is to the old G-DEC 30, not the 3 30., Anyway, when I see a fender amp that drops $100 (25%) I can't help but think something is about to change. When I bought mine from Sweetwater a few months ago, I saw them on the net for $299. I called my Sales Engineer at Sweetwater and asked if they would price match. He said they cound not match $299 or they would actually lose money. Now I see they have them at $299. So what the hell? Anyway, if they do come out with a new G-DEC, I hope it will be a combination of something like a G-DEC and a Super Champ XD. All the good stuff in the G-DEC with real tubes, and a way to run an extension cabinet. Maybe they can call it the G-Champ X-DEC. Things always change, and I understand the economics behind selling new models vs old models, it still sucks if you just bought the old one.

that's why I don't buy from Sweetwater, they are jerks that way, I bought mine at GC in august and they did refund the price difference plus 10%!!

You're right; my bad.

Here's the current model (with the nice 'price drop' tag).

Again, I hope the amp lives long and prospers. If it is, I'm not sure why prices are dropping.

Hmm, price at MF is back up to $399, they call it "New" Black, and its in stock, but everything is the same, including the other versions. Price is still $299 at GC.

?? Its available online as far as I can see, and in stock at 2 of our 3 stores here in Oregon.

Are you sure you're looking for the G-DEC 3 and not the original G-DEC, cuz for sure there's no more of the originals, except for used.

I know what the gdec -3 is I own own..Show us where online? Remember only major stores show current stock, none of these fly by nights they always show crap in stock and fool people into buying something that aint there..and wait and wait for it to not come...the majors, guitar Center, Musicians friend, etc...they even cleaerenced out at my local stores they just made an announcement on their facebook pages they were clearing them out

when you look up gdec-3 or even gdec3 at GC pages here's what you get, used ones...only

I don't know why, but this is what I get:

http://www.guitarcenter.com/New-Gear.gc ... rc=g-dec+3

I think its brilliant of MF if that is what the situation is.

Here's the MF link:

http://www.musiciansfriend.com/search/s ... on=g-dec+3

Don't mind me, I just hope they don't discontinue them, even though I got mine after the price drop. It's a great amp and I want them to come out with more SD songbooks.
