Dear Community,

While playing and jamming I encountered some problems with the amp.

That's why I have some questions:

1. I just downloaded the Special Edition Presets for the G-DEC (Blues, Country, Metal)
and installed them on my amp to check out the presets and the backing tracks.
I wonder if it's possible to play a backing track from a sd-card including the appending preset
WITHOUT installing it on the G-DEC. For example, is it possible to put the presets and backing tracks from the metal-version on a
SD-Crad and jam-along to a metal backing track with the appending preset without replacing or
overwriting the installed presets on the amp, when I install the blues presents and backing tracks
on my G-DEC - ? There are some Hal Leonard Books (p.e. Nirvana Hits)
including Backing Tracks and Presets on a SD-Card - and if you choose a track from this card the
amp automatically takes the appending presets from the SD-Card so you get the right sound without
long editing on the interface of the amp or the Fuse-Software.

2. Is it possible to turn off an effect by activating the fender pedal so I can quickly change
p.e. between clean and distortion sound: Smellslike Teen Spirit Intro - Clean Amp; Verse - Distortion with Chorus;
Chorus Clean Amp with Chorus. How can I "connect" a backing track with a preset so that the amp
chooses the right preset for my backing track and I can turn distortion, chorus or other effects on and off?

3. How can I connect an mp3 or wav-File compiled from a backing track CD p.e. from a "Play-Along With" Book
with an appending downloaded amp preset and install it on a computer or better on a SD-Card so I can easily
select the wav-File and the amp sets the right preset (which is also on PC or SD-Card).

Thanks a lot for your help.

Hey Smellslikebleach,

The G-DEC 3 Special Edition content packages are basically disk images that completely overwrite everything on your amp. The only way to get access to individual Presets or Band Tracks from those packages is to download them separately, one by one from FUSE Community. Type "G-DEC Special Edition" into the Preset or Band Track search areas on the Community.

Regarding playing Presets from the SD card, that can be done. You can use the Import function in the Utility menu on the amp to audition Presets without loading them to one of the 100 slots. Be sure to have your Presets in the Preset folder on the SD card. All Band Tracks should be in the Audio folder, otherwise the amp won't recognize them.

As far as the other questions go, maybe you can clarify a bit. You may just want to give us a call. I'm sure it would be easier to answer your questions over the phone.
