My amp informed me about 1 and half hours ago that it needs updating.
It's now been updating for the last 90 mins.

I know it depends on bandwidth but, any ideas how long updating the amp files should take? Minutes or hours?

4 hours and counting, anyone done out there done the amp update before.

How long did it take?
Can I stop it in the middle?
I want to play guitar not mess around with IT.

I can tell you that when my 15 (through Fuse) told me it needed to be updated, I watched and waited for 20 minutes, and then finally just quit out of Fuse, and then just shut off my amp.

I kept my fingers crossed that I wasn't going to have to reload everything from scratch.

Thankfully, I didn't. When I fired up my amp again, everything was back as if it was untouched. And whether anything actually got updated, I have no idea. :?

Yours will probably be OK. I can only tell you that mine was fine.

I have always updated via and SD card with fast and successful results. I change editions this way almost weekly. (The firmware gets updated each time). The entire process takes about 10-15 minutes via SD card.

You just download the file, unzip it, move it to your SD card, and put it in the GDEC while its off, turn it on, and follow the onscreen instructions.

@surfaday:We may be talking about different issues here. I experienced my hang up while working in Fuse. I imported a wav file from my Mac to the Amp. That's when the dialog popped up with "Updating files..." and I quit out of it after about 20 minutes.

I've had no problems using the method you describe. That works great if you want to completely wipe the amp and install a new, factory-stock edition.

Ah, I see. I have had my Fuse freeze up with my Mustang I when it was just trying to keep up with my spinning the dial. I haven't done that much updating like you say, still having too much fun with the band tracks. FWIW, I don't own the Mustang I anymore.

Hey Dan,

If it's been hanging for 90 minutes you should quit FUSE, turn the amp off/on and try again.
