OK I just ordered a G-Dec 3 15, I only play at home for personal pleasure and already have a 30W Peavey Vypyr. I will probably use the 15 primarily hooked up to my laptop to experiment with recording and looping and such. For those that own the 15W and 30W do you think I will be satisfied with the 15W or should I return it for a 30W?

Thanks,

Dante (AKA Don Dons)

Hi Dante,
I had a GDec 3 fifteen and it was a great little amp, but I traded it in on a GDec 3 thirty when my local music store had their Fender Special month. What I particularly like about the 30 over the 15 are the separate balanced line outs on the back for recording. The signal levels can be set separately from that of the amp as well. I recorded from the 15 using the headphone out jack, but the 30 setup is better. The speakers are better as well.
Oh yeah...it's louder too!
hth...
Alex

I had a G-DEC 3 Fifteen and though it does almost everything the 30 watt amp does, save for the L and R line outs, I went back and exchanged mine for a 30 watt because of the 10" speaker and tweeter. It has lots better sound. Loud too, though I only play at home. The tone is good even when played at low volume.

All I can add is that I used to own a Peavey Vypyr 75W and was continually disappointed with it. Fender is WAY ahead of Peavey on this modeling front. I've now switched to the GDEC 3 Thirty and Mustang IV with no regrets.
