Hi all. I recently bought the G-dec 3 30 blues version. Tonight the backing tracks won't play. The amp still allows me to choose the guitar effects that accompany the band tracks but won't play the band tracks. Any ideas? I've tries switching it on and off but this doesn't help. I have tried the hal leonard Jimi Hendrix SD card in it also and it won't even play this. Also I recorded a guitar part and when it played back there was no sound.

I just tried to play my iphone through the aux input at the back and there was no sound. I plugged it in through the guitar input and there was sound. I'm thinking there may be a problem with the tweeter? Is it the tweeter that plays back MP3's? I'd really appreciate some advice from the Fender guys if your around as the amp isn't even a month old yet.

Sounds like you have turned off the Speaker for the backtracks function. To turn it back on, hold the Exit button down for 3 seconds to enter UTIL mode. Then keep pressing the far right blank soft button till you get to the Speaker screen. It will show Guiter in the highlighted area, so use the wheel to change it to "All" in the highlighted area. Then Exit and your backtracks should be back. This setting can sometimes get changed especially when loading tracks for your SD Card. Hope this helps.

Yeah, that would be sometimes troublesome. I almost returned it back cause it was not playing. I reset the settings and figured to check on the UTIL mode and check for the Speaker for the backtracks function. Good thing I was thinking that it might be like one common problem we have on our PCs, the volume being muted without us changing anything. Oh well.

My backing tracks stopped playing after I used the dubbing function. Now none of my backing tracks play. The speaker is not turned off in UTIL mode.

Hey Guys,

Paul - So are you now able to get the backing tracks to play on your amp?

Buckwheater - Do the names of the backing tracks appear on the amp or does it display "Band Missing" or "No Band"? Also are you sure it's only the backing tracks that won't play. Are you sure you can get a guitar signal through it?

The names of the backing tracks do appear. The guitar signal does come through.

After I posted, I disconnected my computer and the Fuse program from the GDEC-- then backing tracks did play. I had to manually push the start button to get them to play. If I pushed the foot pedal play button, a (unintentionally created) loop would play. The manual did not clear any of this up for me.

It sounds like your computer may have had the amp assigned as it's audio output device. When that is the case you won't be able to play any audio files from the amp. Were you running AmpliTube or any other audio programs in the background?

As far as the footswitch behavior goes, are you sure it was in the correct mode to control Band Track playback and not the phrase sampler?
