I followed the SD card instructions uploading the GDEC Blues menu to transform my GDEC into a blues amp. Loading the SD card into the amp, I did not get the "Image" message on the amp screen? I tried several things, including re-formatting the SD card, re-loading, etc. with no success. I use a MAC. Any ideas? Thanks! Keith :D

I use a PC so the file extensions are probably different bit you did power off the amp and then power it on again? That is how mine got started.

Here is the name of my image file: gdec3_blues_restore.img, there were 3 files needed. You can delete the readme file.

Thanks! Yes, I have tried all/any combinations I could think of with no success? The amp does not seem to recognize the SD card? I found no specific MAC instructions anywhere? I have a note into Fender TSL now; no reply yet. I even deleted the SD files loaded, and went through the whole process again. Likely it's a MAC issue that TSL forgot to address? I was careful to print out the install instructions and followed them closely. Thanks! KSS :D

I have read deep in some instructions somewhere that Kodak and Kingston cards are not compatible. Nor are cards >8gigs supported, which doesn't necessarily mean they're not compatible. I've had luck with a 2gb Patriot card and an 8gb Wintec card. Sandisk was specifically recommended in the same instructions.

Would your cards possibly be Kodak or Kingston?

Hey Keith,

How is your SD card formatted. If it's formatted as a Mac OS disk your amp will not read it at all. It must be formatted in FAT (MS DOS) format. Do you have access to a Windows computer? See if that will read the card.

I've got a Mac and am considering buying a G-DEC Blues 30. Does this mean that I won't be able to access the blues material via SD card?

The computer is used strictly to copy the files to the SD card.
