Hello everybody
I am interested in getting a g dec 30 and not sure about the blues version or the metal version. I am interested in classic rock and some blues. Heavy metal, death metal, thrash metal or whatever it is called, I'm not interested in. But some blues are rock and vice versa. So how does the blues g dec compare to the metal. Is classic rock more in blues or metal?

When I do get a certain type of music g dec, is it possible to log on to FUSE and download backing tracks for music of preference. Can I get a blues g dec or meta g dec and erase the tracks that I don't like and will not use and download others that I like and use?

In that case, are the only differences in the g decs(blues, metal, country) the way the amp looks? Thanks for helping out!

YOu got it...it's the look of the amp. You can download and install original, blues, or country versions once you have the amp. You can also download any individual presets and or tracks from the website.

I just did that tonight. Got my G-DEC 3 Fifteen this morning, got everything installed, got the blues edition on my sd card, put the sd card into the slot and bingo! 15 minutes later I went from a standard edition to a blues edition g-dec. Pretty dang cool! I plan to try them all.

So it just comes down to your choice of exteriors.

Dang, there's a 30 watt GDEC 3 on Portland Craigslist today! Why did I buy mine yesterday!!!

Seriously, I wonder if a 30 would be too much for me since I'm only playing for myself in a condo? I hear the only dif is the stereo line outs. Otherwise functionally they are the same.

I recommend the 30. I rather have a 10" than an 8". One day you Will take it out and the line outs will come in handy

I also recommend the 30. I had a fifteen which was a great amp, but just upgraded to a thirty which is even better with the larger speaker (and tweeter) and as JoeR says, the line outs are very handy for recording or running into a pa system. You can always turn the volume down....... !!
best, Alex

Thanks guys! I ordered the 30 watt g dec from MF. It's supposed to arrive
tomorrow. I'm excited! I also ordered the Hal Leonard Jimmy Hendrix smartcard
which is made for the g dec. I always wanted to play 'Along the Watchtower''
Peace, man!

You're welcome! I know you'll really enjoy the GDec3-30. What I forgot to mention is that once you get it and plug it in, you won't be able to leave it alone! I took early retirement so falling asleep at work is not an issue and I've lost 10 lbs, which in my case, is a good thing.
Best,
Alex

I just got my Thirty today. After having the Fifteen since July, the Thirty is well worth the extra bucks. I got the Country version for the look, way better in real life than in the photos. Took it out of the box and quickly switched it to the Blues version. Too bad I have to work in the morning, I'm sure I could get lost for hours if I get started.

Cool. The country version is also my favorite cosmetically.
