I'm having a problem with Fender Fuse. I'm running version 2,30 and the GDec 3 15 is v 1.4. The problem is that some of my preset names don't show up in Fuse. They are fine on the amp and in Fuse the settings are correct in the preset editor mode, but there is either a blank or new preset showing in the blue bar top left. I've resaved each problem preset with its proper name, but when Fuse is reloaded this updated info. is lost. I've uninstalled and reinstalled fuse v 2.3, but no difference.
The amp is fine...this is more of an annoyance in Fuse, but I'd like to fix it.
My computer is a HP dv7 laptop running windows 7 and until the upgrade to Fuse 2.3, I've been fine, though in fairness I have been editing my presets and resaving them recently.
Do I have to reflash the GDec amp?

Me, again. I figured out how to fix it and both Fuse and the GDec 3 are in agreement once more.
cheers, Alex

Hi...I booted up Fender fuse, attached the amp via the usb cable, turned it on and after it had synced I went to the preset position that was blank or reading new preset in Fuse. I made sure that it was still ok on the GDec 3 readout, which it always was. I then used the soft controls on the GDec to change an amp setting...one turn up then back so that I hadn't really changed anything in the preset setting on the amp. The save button was now red and I pushed it and saved my (non) change. The Fuse software took a while to register the change, but when it did the preset name was correct and stayed ok even after a reboot of the fuse software. I then did this for all 5 of my presets that had been "lost" in fuse.
Darned if I know how the info was lost in Fuse in the first place, but it was probably my fault as I modified a lot of the presets to suit my new telecaster single coil pups (as opposed to the humbuckers of my Gretsch) - mostly adding a noise gate setting to the overdrive presets to kill the hum - and I guess that saving the changes via Fuse wasn't as good as saving via the save button on the amp???!?
Hope this makes sense to you..I always (or most of the time) know what I mean, but can't always explain it!
cheers, Alex

Just to report back, your idea worked for me as well. Moreover, I'm using a Mac. So, the fix is cross-platform.

Thanks again!

You're welcome! I must say that I was impressed by the time of your earlier post...6:26am.
I'm often up that early, or earlier, but am reluctant to respond to queries until I've had an espresso or two.
When I get a Mac computer and if I have problems, I'll keep you in mind for assistance.
Best, Alex
