Since their hasn't been a firmware update in about a year, I'd like to bring up the list of wanted features that people came up with. The original thread is here:

viewtopic.php?t=41275

Here was the original list:

What are the things you think need fixed or improved?

1. Improve user interface so it is easier to use.
2. Improve file system to work with nested folders and other modern standards
3. Improve the track slowdown feature. Currently this feature sounds terrible and is basically unusable in my opinion. Try downloading the demo of the "Amazing Slow Downer" for an example of how it should sound.
4. A/B Looping: Add an easy way to loop sections of a song.
5. Basic standard transport controls for backing track playback.
6. Start the amp where I left off. If I turn the amp off while on preset 53, start me at 53 when I turn it back on.
7. Improve FUSE software. As is it is very clunky and buggy and seems to follow few usability standards. It would also be great to have an easy way to reorganize presets on the amp with FUSE.
8. Address noise issues on some presets, amp models and effects.
9. Allow recording to an SD card until full
10. Add the function to have a preset bank on the SD card, or at least make presets on the SD card easy to access.
11. Improve current amps and effects and add new ones
12. Ability to access the three QA Presets with the foot switch or touch buttons from Preset Mode without it stopping playback of assigned backing track and starting new backing track from the new QA preset. We need to be able to finish the song in progress AND be able to change the QA presets during the song. This is a major performance flaw.
13. Ability to assign 3 unique QA Presets per Amp Preset, with the ability to change to the QA Presets WITHOUT stopping playback of the current backing track.
14. Setlist or Playlist feature.

A few things of my own:

15. Allow tweaking of stompboxes/effects in Fuse using the arrow keys in addition to the mouse. Too hard to tweak using the mouse.
16. Start where the amp left off. If I end on preset #50, that's where I want to start I know that this is #6 above but this is a really big one to fix!!
17. Need the ability to move patches around in Fuse by dragging them. If I want to swap patches #2 and #3 I want to drag them with the mouse not have to save over them. This would be my biggest request. Many other multi-effects processors and modeling amps have this feature - why not Fender?
18. Add a "date created" or "date imported" field to Fender Fuse. I import a lot of patches and it gets hard to find them in Fuse. I'd like to be able to sort by date so that I can find the ones that I recently imported.
19. Need a way to set the quick access presets from Fuse rather than only on the amp.
20. Allow the 2nd guitar input on the back of the amp to use a different tone than the one on the front.
21. On Fender Sound Community, display the amp used, effects, etc. without having to download the patch. Sometimes I'm looking for a tone with a specific effect and I'd liek to filter for that effect.
22. Get rid of the clicking that happens when using the foot pedal to switch tones.
23. Add some more amps/effects/stompboxes. Even if you charge for them individually - I'd pay for a Blues Driver stompbox!

I hope someone from Fender actually looks at these discussion boards. There are a lot of great features with this amp (I have the GDec 3 30) but there are some serious flaws. I wouldn't recommend anyone purchase this until Fender addresses these issues. A few fixes and the GDec will be the best modeling amp on the market!!

To Fender,

Any plans to address these issues? It has been over a year since a firmware update was released for the GDec 3.

I have a feeling they've been devoting most of their time to the Mustang problems. The G-DEC 3s have improvements that could be made, but no glaring issues like the Mustangs.
