Any help on settings for Eric Johson's lead tone a-la Cliff's of Dover?

The presets for EJ's dirty rhythm and stereo chorus are awesome!

Thanks in advance.

Dude one of the presets on the G-DEC 3 is the tone for cliffs of dover created by Eric himself! It even has the backing track for cliffs of dover. Its preset 8 if you havent changed it.

I added an Overdrive pedal to the setting and just tweaked it to give it a little more sustain! Now I am totally in love with the setting!

That's what it's all about! Tweaking until YOU are happy with it. Glad you got what you're looking for! :D

#8 is EJ's dirty rhythm tone - it is not the ellusive EJ lead tone

I have grabbed a user made preset which seems close but still not exact.

based on EJ's real setup, it seems like the right G-DEC elements for the lead tone would be:

british blues amp
overdrive pedal
tape delay
warm reverb
the question is what are the actual settings for each to nail it?

You need to tweak the tone for your pickups and to your liking. Have fun with it
