Maybe I'm missing something obvious and so give me dunce hat if that's the case.... :)

Is there anyway to preview the new Blues, Country, and Metal presets without downloading and installing? I went online and saw that you could download them as a pack or individually... I guess i'm really looking for demo video or way to hear several presets before installing to my amp....

I say this because I'm currently using the standard presets. I play a lot of U2 music (old and new) and I'm wondering if maybe the blues or metal packs might be better suited for my style.

Currently, I mostly use presets
05 - Echo Filter
03 - Autumn's End 3
10 - Euro Delay
14 Wlyde Child
37 Kollman Lead
30 - Ziggy

Most of the rest of the standard presets mostly go unused...
Wondering if the other style presets would match my style better, but would rather not install to amp then uninstall if not...

thoughts?

Thanks,
U2_Fan

If you are happy with what you've got now, I wouldn't bother to install the other versions. I have converted two 3-Thirty amps from the original - one to Blues and the other to Country. There is a huge amount of overlap on the different versions, lots of the same guitar presets and backing tracks on all the versions.

I'd just stick with what you have and use Fuse software to modify the persets you are using to get them closer to your ideal tones.

Good luck!

Thanks Dennis.
Good advice. I'll stay with the standard set for now... I know I shouldn't say this on an open Fender forum, but I heard a Vox Valvetronix AD50 the other day. I gotta say it sounded pretty sweet. Was tempted to pick it up for some time, but talked myself out of it... :)

Thanks again,
Randy

Hey Guys,

U2_Fan - If you'd like to download the individual presets, you can load them in Fender FUSE and play them without copying them to your amp first. If you double click a downloaded preset in the Media Library, it will load it to your amp temporarily without taking up a preset slot.

Great idea Loren. Hadn't thought of that... I'll give that a try.

Thanks again!

Hooked the G-DEC 3 up to the PC with USB cord and just as Loren said, I was able to easily download presets and then open them using FUSE and hear them on the G-DEC. Then it was as easy as moving on if I didn't want the preset or hitting the save button to overwrite the preset that I didn't want with the new one.

Worked like a charm. :)

Thanks Loren!
