I'm looking at getting a G-Dec 3 Thirty.

Can anyone please tell me if it's possible, after recording say a rhythm phrase, to change the preset (or patch) for the overdub... ie. record an acoustic rhythm phrase and then overdub with a driven bluesy tone... ?

Or are you stuck with the same selected tone/voice throughout a given loop?

Thanks!

PS. Is the extended lower quality looping still good enough for personal consumption... ie. just noodling around at home? Or is the quality dire?

Hi, yes you can use any preset you want when you overdub.
Lower quality phrasing gives you more time and I think the quality is good enough for personal use.
