Is anyone having problems saving multiple .mp3's to an SD card?--i saved one song then tried to save another and my red save light comes on-cuts me off from saving again.
i turned off the amp and quit FUSE--started it back up again and then it worked.
right after the next save to my SD card the red light popped back on--when i change the lock setting from my amp it has no affect--any ideas? glitch?

Hey foggy1!

I was just going to start a thread on this subject when I saw your new post. I have been using G-DECs for years now to provide backing tracks for my live performances. That means I have to load at least 50 and sometimes 100 to 200 mp3 files onto a pair of SD cards (always, always bring a spare).

I never load multiple mp3 files one at a time - always just select everything you want to load and drop them onto the Music Folder on your SD card. You will have a lot less trouble when doing multiples, but doing it directly into the amp (one at a time or in multiples) is very time consuming. Here's what I am coming to, as of about twenty minutes ago.

BUY A CARD READER/WRITER! Why, oh why, did I wait so long to do this? Loading 100 mp3 files onto an SD card through the amp takes about 40 minutes and the process is prone to glitches and failure every now and then - like after you start the process and go to bed, get up the next morning and find the process stalled on song 3..?

I was at Staples Sunday and just happened to stumble onto a Vivitar Secure Digital Card Reader/Writer for SD/HC cards - for all of $14.99. I just erased all of the mp3 files from 15 SD cards I've used at various times in my G-DECs. Then I took 100 mp3 files and reloaded them onto another SD card and it took all of three (3) whole minutes! Too sweet!

The only thing you have to use the G-DEC itself for is to format the SD cards. Stick them in, turn the amp on and it will automatically format the card and place the four folders on it. Pop the card out of the amp, stick it into the card reader and load 'er up! I can't believe I took so long to get smart...

I hope this helps you.

+1 on the card writer/reader. That's the only way I do these. You can bulk copy as many presets or songs as you want!
