Admittedly I bought this amp used. It is out of warrnaty. I do this a lot, it is a hobby of mine. I am an electronic repair tech and have been for 45 years.

I bought this like a lot of guys off of ebay. i am not trying to get it replaced, just repaired. Because of it's computer design, no one wants to touch it. I am as staed before a repair tech and would like to get either field service notes or an actual service manual. I have downloaded the schematic from Fender and have checked the supply voltages and all seem to be there. I have no LCD display, but the amp section is working. I hear a slight pop in the speaker at power on. I have injected a 1khz signal at the input and can trace it until it gets digitized and after that I lose it.

I have other amps I have repaired and sold but this one is what I need for a one man band. I am on disability and can not afford a new one. Any help would be appreciated.

Can any help?

Even though you dont have a display... if you turn the knob do you get a different tone at each click? If this is the case, possibly just the Lcd is out???

Thanks for your reply. This one is a bit more complicated than that. There is nothing from the guitar input jack or the aux in jacks. I have a schematic and was able to inject a 1khz signal and trace up to the point where the analog gets converted to digital and conversely I can inject a 1khz signal from the point where it gets converted back to analog and hear it through the speaker. The problem is somewhere in the middle with DSP circuitry.

I repair home computers and motherboards and most of the time I can get what I need to troubleshoot their problems.

I do have the schematic from Fender but it would be great to have service manual to be able to use a scope to digitally trace the signal through the unit. I am anxious to get it going so I can try the different features. I am a keyboard player and do a lot of MIDI on my computer and the opportunity to use this amp as a synth would be helpful.

Thanks again for your reply.
