There is a great alternative I have been using. I bought a subscription to LickLibrary.com. They have a TON of jamtrax you can download to go with their excellent lessons for tons of Classic Rock. I put them into my GDEC-3 on the SD card and they are awesome. Just finished up playing Cant Get Enough Of Your Love!

Got my Hendrix and Doors in today. I still am awaiting the Nirvana and the Country one.

Please post and let us know how the presets and lessons are!

I'm interested in a few of these, but don't want to waste money on poor preset tones.

Thanks, Bob

The SD play-along songbooks are available now from Hal Leonard. Go to: www.halleonard.com and you'll find them under the Guitar/Bass>Songbooks (By Genre)>Blues. Look for the "Fender G-Dec3" label on the image that's displayed. First one I ran across was Stevie Ray Vaughn and when I opened it, for a closer look, it had links to the others that are currently available. There's one on Clapton, Hendrix, Tom Petty, The Doors, and a few others. They list for $29.99 each, or something like that, and you can apparently order them straight from Leonard.

That said, however, I intend to check out availability at local music stores before I order one or two of them online. The local stores might discount them from the retail price shown online and you can avoid paying shipping costs that add to the price. I would suggest that all readers of this should do the same.

The pre-sets and tones are great. The only thing is I am unsure of how to get the actual lead guitar to play for an example. The SD Card comes with the track, and I have the tab in the book, but it would be nice to hear what it's supposed to sound like so I can emulate it as an example, or play along and replicate. I just don't trust my tab interpretation. Maybe this can be done and I am missing something?

Hey Guys,

From what I understand, some of the songbooks include two audio tracks for each song. One track that contains the lead guitar and one without it. I'm not sure which songbooks are prepared that way, though.

Got 4 of these: Clapton, Hendrix, Tom Petty and ZZ Top.
So far have sent back the ZZ Top for a replacement........and the SD card in the replacement is also defective.... not recognized by either the G-Dec amp or the SD slots on several computers. All the other cards work fine.
Anyone know a direct number where I can get just a working SD card. Otherwise will have to send it back again to Amazon where I bought it.
Fender should look into this one, 2 defective cards in a row is more likely a production flaw instead of a unit failure................

Hey Sam54,

You may want to contact Hal Leonard. It sounds like there could be an issue with the production of those cards.
