I was one of the first to get an original g-dec3-30 in Scotland and whilst I think its great I would have preferred a more blues orientated amp and of course, there is now the g-dec3-30 blues!!

Is there any way to convert the original to the blues version via a single software/firmware download essentially wiping the original presets/band tracks and installing the new blues ones in their place, and if so, how.

Thanks
Big Ray

We are all hoping Fender posts them in the download section for us to access them.

Have a look at "New G-Dec3 presets and backing tracks" forum on this site. The has been much discussion about this topic.

It will only be a matter of time and all of these new presets and backing tracks will be available one way or another.

Cheers from Canada.

Johnny

Hi Guys,

We are seeing a good amount of interest in the Fender G-DEC 3, Special Edition amp content from other Fender G-DEC 3 users. At this time, we are not making the content available outside of the purchasers of the Special Edition amps themselves. Please check back with us, as we will announce if and when we do release the content to other users. Thanks very much.

Best Regards,

Don't like the "if", hopeful about the "when" *.

I can't see Fender losing out on supplying this as I doubt many people who own originals would trade them and take the loss and who would want to buy two? There seems to be no price difference ( in fact the new "metal" is cheaper than the original ) so I assume Fender is not bothered which you buy, other than being concerned about the specials not selling well.

Come on guys don't leave the early adopters stranded or you might find next time you release the latest thing a lot of people might just wait and see.

* I do appreciate it is early days and Fender will want the dust to settle on the new release so I am quietly optimistic...I think...maybe :) obviously the more requests they get the better.

There's nothing preventing new G-DEC 3 Special Edition owners from uploading the presets to FUSE. :D

The following is a post that I made a few months ago on the "New G-Dec3 presets and backing tracks" forum on this site:

"It truly doesn't matter if Fender puts the tracks up or not, because once the new amps are in circulation someone will up load them to FUSE for all to have access to anyway. I intend to get my hands on the blues version when it's available. Once I do I will let you all know if it's worth all the fuss and if anyone wants any or all of the presets I will be happy to share them with you.

Cheers,

Johnny"
