sorry if most of this has been covered.

1) If I replace a preset stored in the amp, say #1, do I lose the backing track associated with it too?

2) I've put some preset tones on SD card via FUSE, can these be assigned as a QA? Or do QA presets have to be stored in the amp.

I went thru all the presets in the amp today with my strat, only liked about 12 or so....gonna go thru them all with my other guitars to see if any others are appealing with them. Thought I would come up with some of my own.

However, I don't wanna lose any of the factory band tracks, so what should I do?

Thanks

I'm pretty sure presets & band tracks are separate and you will retain the band track regardless of what (amp setting) the preset is changed to.

The presets are separate from the backing tracks. It doesn't matter if they are used by any presets or several presets, they don't go away unless you remove them. You can have backing tracks on either the internal memory or on your SD card. Presets are all in the internal memory (in slots 0 through 99).

You can go through all the backing tracks from the quick access menu if you'd like to sample them without changing your guitar tone. You can also flip between QA1, 2, 3, while the track is playing in that mode.

This is how I understand it through my experience with the Gdec 3 30. Tracks are on the hd of the amp, but you can also have them on the sd card (as many as the card can hold). The presets are on the hd and when you make changes or import a different preset to that slot, you are deleting the one you replace. You can export everything to the sd card and that will make a copy of all the presets and tracks to the sd card. You can then find a track on the sd card and it will play thru the amp. You can also assign a track on the sd card to a preset. You can't play a preset thru the sd card though. You have to "import" it back to the amp from the card in order to use it. Doing an export everything to the card is like backing up to the card. You can always import back to the amp if you change your miind about a preset, or tweak one on the amp and save it with a different name, like put a 2 after it or whatever, then if you do another export, it won't overide the original. Hope that helps
