Sorry if this has been covered, but I bought the G-Dec3 15 watt when it came out, it's been residing @ my son's house, so I haven't used it. Was wanting a new practice amp and looked at the Mustang....is the "Models, Tones, Presets, etc similar to the GDec?"

Basically if I have the GDec, no reason in buying the Mustang is my question.

I say go for the Gdec, you can have unlimited tracks on the sd card to play off of. Presets are similar to each other, but not exactly the same.

I had the Mustang one for a few weeks, but when I was in the Guitar store, I started messing around with a G-Dec, and I ended up returning the Mustang one for a G-Dec 3 Thirty. I like the ability to play the tracks, etc, but I thought it sounded a little better as well. Not sure if it actually does, but the Thirty has a tweeter as well as the main speaker, the Gdec 15 and the Mustang 1 does not have this from what I read. Of course, it also lists fo 399 as opposed to the 99 for the Mustang.

I have a G-DEC3. The difference with the mustang are the tracks can be played in the amp and the looper/sampler. But you can play tracks and record with Mustang if you have a laptop to plug into it.

The real nice thing about the G-DEC3 is the presets are matched to the tracks. It really opens your playing up to other styles. Before the G_DEC3 I have no idea how to do a country sound or play country, but have had great fun jamming to country tracks with the country presets.

Of course the mustang is way cheaper...
