What does the Timbre type mean on the GDEC-3?

Is it just changing the EQ settings quite a bit or is it cabinet like sounds as well? If its just EQ can you do the same by setting timbre to NONE and then adjusting the bass/mid/treble?

Thanks in advance!

It's used to simulate different cab types. It also serves as a quick and easy eq tweak.

Download the Going Deep document from the following website:

http://mygdec.com/index.php?option=com_ ... nfo&id=119

It does a great job of describing the different timbres and what they emulate. :)

Although its for the older GDecs thats a great document.... For Timbre it has:

Full body is like changing to a closed speaker cabinet. I think of it as Fender’s
410 cabinet.

Full Stack is the same, only bigger. Think of this as a 412 cabinet.

Razors Edge has an aggressive “Boogie” like feel with a strong mid range..

Nu Metal is Razors Edge only more and a scooped EQ.

Bright Lite is like changing to a fully open cabinet, like a classic Fender combo.

Super Bright is more brightness, very bright and high-end heavy.

Acoustic as a timber adds the brittle hollowness or ringyess like an amplified
acoustic guitar to your electric.

Bass Boost does just that, it adds bottom end without effecting anything else.
