I just purchased the G-DEC 30 and I wanted to know if there's a way to copy midi presets from my Casio keyboard to the G-DEC 30 amp. I know with the new G-DEC3 series you just use the SD card, but is there some type of copy I can use to add new drums beats, presets, etc..??

Thanks,

Download the G-DEC Songloader and use that to transfer midi songs

That was my first attempt, but I have not had success loading the software. I first used a windows 7 laptop than I used a Windows XP 2001...still no luck. I did have luck using the Jammer 5 software, but I'm still wokring through some of the midi conversions.

Thanks for the update!!!!

I didn't recieve any error msgs, but during the first attempt to load the app...the software indentifies that the .net framework is not loaded. So, I loaded the .net 4 attempted again to load the Songloader and from there it loads successfully. At that point I go to run the app(Songloader) and you can see the hard drive processing, but nothing loads..no error message. There are the some errors in the Windows Event Viewer, but not enough detail to determine the root cause of the problem..?? Strange thing though...the very first time I installed the app with using Windows 7...I did get the Songloader to run and it had a popup stating that there were no midi devices loaded...since then I've removed Windows 7 and installed Windows XP 2011 and have not been able to either get any messages or progam to run..??

Any ideas??

I am running Windows 7 with a Tascam US-144 audio/midi interface. While typing this post, I am performing each step.

I connected the B-Dec to the Tascam US-144 and the Tascam to my laptop
I installed the B-DEC Preset Editor and B-DEC Songloader.
I first verified that the B-DEC and Tascam were communicating by doing a "dump all" from the B-DEC to my computer.
I started Songloader and set the midi devices to the Tascam US-144,
I click the load songs and navigated to the default songs folder, found in the B-DEC Songloader folder.
I clicked on the transferred checked to B-DEC button.
On the B-DEC, both songs appeared in the song menu
I played both songs

What midi interface are you using to connect G-DEC to computer? How are you connecting Casio keyboard to your computer?

If all you want to do is play Casio keyboard songs through G-DEC, make sure Casio keyboard is GM Compliant and connect it to the G-DEC midi in. it should work automatically (I connect a General midi 2 sound module to the B-DEC all the time).
Hope this helps.
