Heres a vid of the blues and country version at NAMM on Yuotube

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HNMK809tFlU

All of the tracks demo'd are on the existing vanilla G-DEC 3. I suspect many of the tracks we already have anyway... it will just be mostly more presets with a few extra tracks I think.

The original have 100 presets and 76 tracks, but many of the tracks could fall into two or more of the 3 genres.

Even just a list of the tracks and presets from Fender would be nice so we can see what we are missing.

So out of all of this would it be safe to say that if you bought one of the new preloaded models, you can download and add the 'current' presets to them?

Absolutely! Use an SD card to backup the info on the amp first, then replace the ones you don't like with ones from the current series that you do like.

Hopefully these will be made available to those of us who have already invested in the G-DEC 3 platform rather than waiting.

Cool, thanks for posting.

I had assumed there would only be a few new presets and the rest would be from the original G-dec. It's more like 40% existing ones in the genre and 60% new.

Looks like they're up on the fuse site now.
You can search the presets tags for blues special edition, country, etc.

There is also an item on the gdec3 support page that lets you download the whole factory restore image so that you can effectively load the presets and backing tracks in one shot (of course that will remove any custom stuff you have on there now).

Looking forward to checking these out.

Thanks Loren and Alan!

Yay! Great news. I feel like someone has just given me 3 new amps to play with ;-)

The support page link is

The full image files are at the bottom.

It looks like they're in the process of getting the presets there. Not all the new ones are there, but almost 100 new ones are posted. (possibly 1/3 to 1/2 of the new ones) :)

Cool at last it's available ...thanks to Fender :)
I've dowloaded all three images .zip files (metal, country and blues) and printed the text to proceed... but installing these will remove all we've done to personnalize the amp presets and bandtracks.
I wish that Fender could provide all the new band tracks in standard .mp3 files (zipped) so we can copy only the ones we like to the SD card already inserted in the amp. I know that this procedure won't let us automatically have all the presets related to the band tracks but this can be solved by downloading or creating our own. Could this be done using Fender support page and/or Fuse software ? :?:

Thanks.

Ok,I found a way to get the most of all four G-Dec3 presets and bandtracks styles while not loosing any personnal presets and bandtracks I've wrote on the amp HD since I bought it.

1. Using Fuse, I made a total backup (presets and bandtracks) of my original G- Dec3.
2. I've configured, as explained on Fender site, my G-Dec3 to the Blues version (very easy to do so).
3. I made a second total backup so I can find the Blues presets and bandtracks in Fuse directory.
4. I did the same with the Metal and Country G-Dec3 styles.
5. I reconfigured the amp as it was (original presets and bandtracks.
6. I copied and pasted all (original,Blues,Metal and Country ) presets and bandtracks from my computer to an SD card so that I can now have access to everything.
Hope it helps.

Duke --

I'm doing pretty much the same as you are :-)

Now I've just got to pick the 100 presets that I like the best (including the ones that I have come up with and gotten from the user fuse presets over the past year).

At least the backing tracks are virtually unlimited with a big sd card :-)
