Will the presets and/or the backing tracks of the new three G-Dec 3 (Blues Metal and Country) be available to those using the original G-Dec 3 ? You could make them available on the fuse community so we could download them.
Would be nice to be able to add these on a SD card according to taste. :D

Hello Run Duke.
I also would like an answer from Fender regarding your post.

I hope they will make the genre specific tracks available to us standard GDEC 3 users.

May be Lorne or Alan will reply. (Hint Hint)

You have two posts going on? lol well I guess I'll reply to both then

Anything else would be silly

Nobody is gonna buy a new G-dec only for new backing tracks. Especially us who just got ours in December. Adding all the new backing tracks is just gonna expand the community and it would not benefit Fender to not upload the tracks.

On the contrary, I think people only interested in those genres will still want to buy these new amps because of their look &/or because the presets and backing tracks are already loaded & that will save them the work. I don't believe those who already bought G-DEC 3s will trade them. Therefore, I'm pretty sure that AFTER these new models are available in stores, these presets and backing tracks WILL be available for download on FUSE, as are all of the presets and tracks for the original G-DEC 3! :D

Yes, new buyers will certainly choose the new amps according to their look and musical genre and I hope you're right (quote).
Offering these backing tracks and presets will give the opportunity to first G-Dec3 buyers to personnalize their amps no matter the work and time consuming to do so.
Just waiting for Fender to reply.

Hello Run Duke,

I also received an e-mail from Alan Wiley @ Fender. I have attached it below:

Hi John,

Thanks for your inquiry. The content for the new Fender G-DEC 3 Metal, Country and Blues Edition amps is not available on our site at this time. We may release the content for these new Fender G-DEC 3 models at a future time. If so, we will make an announcement at that time.

Best Regards,

Alan Willey

Why is that ridiculous? Let's keep in mind that Fender is trying to make a profit on these products. What is better, to delay uploading the band tracks and presets until they've been able to sell some amps or to NEVER offer the amp choices to begin with?!? Sometimes, you have to put yourself in the other person's (or company's) shoes to get the big picture. I, for one, want Fender to profit from these amp sales so they will continue to develop great amps like the G-DEC 3s and Mustangs!

Doesn't it smell bad in there?

They will make a profit from new consumers. Not from the ones who already have a G-dec 3. So why not make the new backing tracks available to us? Is Fender gonna pimp out new amps everytime they make a few new backing tracks?

But whatever.

They are going to. Just not until they've had a chance to get the new amps into the stores. Why should we have access to the new presets and band tracks BEFORE the new amps are released? They probably haven't produced them all yet anyway. Many people have been complaining about the 100 tracks that came on the original G-DEC 3s, so what means different is going to be better? It's all a matter of taste, and there are plenty of places to get backing tracks on the web, for a fee or for free. Patience should be the word here.

And yes, it often does stink inside those shoes.

I hope you will or at least until that time, it would be great to be able to listen to some samples on Fender website.

It truly doesn't matter if Fender puts the tracks up or not, because once the new amps are in circulation someone will up load them to FUSE for all to have access to anyway. I intend to get my hands on the blues version when it's available. Once I do I will let you all know if it's worth all the fuss and if anyone wants any or all of the presets I will be happy to share them with you.

Cheers,

Johnny
