How does one select the desired phrase for replaying/dubbing when one has recorded several different phrases. Essentially, how does one "name" a specific phrase for later recall?

Hey RickinVirginia,

You can load saved phrases by pressing the "Phrase" soft key and navigating to the "Load Phrase" screen. Please keep in mind that in order to load a Phrase it would have to have been saved previously.

Naming of Phrases is actually handled by the amp. It will name a saved Phrase "GDEC00001" for example. You can rename the Phrase using your computer if you'd like.

Hi Loren,

You said that you can rename the presets with your computer but when I do that and put the SD back into the amp it won't recognize the renamed preset. I would like to rename them to something more meaningful than just 1,2,3 etc.

Make sure you keep the extension when you rename them

JoeR,

Thanks for the suggestion but I kept the .wav extension with no luck and also named the file Test0014.wav thinking I needed the 0014 but that didn't work either. I have two files on the SD GDEC0014.wav and GDEC0015.wav and now that I've renamed 0014 it doesn't show up when I try to load a phrase. As soon as I rename it back to GDEC0014.wav it shows up.

I'm using firmware version 1.04.

I apologize for the delay Mike. You can rename phrases as long as you keep "GDEC" in the beginning of the title. For instance, "GDECBLUEFUNK" is an acceptable name.

Loren - you said one could rename a phrase (or, I guess, a Band Track) using the computer. I've tried to do that with Fuse but was unsuccessful.

How does one do that?

Also, a suggestion that applies specifically for the GDec-3 but may be applicable to other products, too. The User's Manual, IMHO, could be a lot more specific in it's "how to" do certain things. Rather than Fender updating the users manual, why not let the owners do that. I suggest that you put a wiki up to which users could contribute. You, and your customers, would get the "wisdom of the crowd" via a user's manual for GDEC and other equipments. It would consolidate all the information found on this forum in one place. It could be a moderated wiki in that someone from Fender could monitor inputs and make sure that something that was factually incorrect was not posted. Anyway, just a thought.
