I bought the mustang recently and noticed that ringing bass tones will start to distort. Has anyone noticed anything like this with the G-dec?

Bump ...

Do G-DEC owners have this same problem?

Mustang amp owners ... when using clean tone models ... are hearing distortion as notes decay. It happens on all strings and increases as you move from string 1 to 6. It's best heard on the decay of single notes played slowly on the bass strings. The distortion is heard thru the speaker, headphones and it's recordable. Listen to this sound file and you'll see what I mean. The file is by courtesy of stratquebec in the Mustang Amp forum.

I listened, and I guess one man's distortion is another man's sustain. I don't hear that as distortion. It still sounds clean to me, just sustained. I have a G-DEC 3 Thirty, and I never really listened that closely. It may be an issue for you if you record and listen back in a QUIET environment. My experience is that the background noise in any environment I'd be listening in would mask any hint of that sound being distortion.

FWIW.
