I think the issue is that it can't be fixed by a firmware update so they aren't talking about it. Probably the modelling chips in the amp can't produce acoustic modelling at higher volume without sacrificing sound quality.

Anyway its no where near as big of an issue as everyone seems to make out. If you don't like the acoustic models don't use them! Or move them to the end of your presets. Also can you alleviate the issue by adjusting the volume in the preset to max and then turning up the amp volume and band volume down.

I certainly wouldn't be taking the amp back because of this. It has so many other great amp models. If you want an acoustic sound you should be playing an acoustic guitar anyway ;-)

I don't believe anyone is talking about returning the AMP or claiming it's a major issue. The fact is I do like the Acoustic presets, and I like to use them...it is just an annoying glitch which appears to be a glaring oversight on Fenders behalf.

I don't own an Acoustic Guitar and that is actually beside the point. It is a supposed feature of the AMP and yet it is one that is not very practical. I'm aware of the work-arounds, but these appear like simple issues which shouldn't require work arounds in the first place.

There are several other minor glitches (built in phrase sampler being useless without the footswitch) which tarnish a mostly very good guitar amp...what is most dissappointing though has been the response from Fender.

How about the possibility that theres no glitch. Acoustic presets sound quieter because ... wait for it.... acoustic guitars are quieter than squealing distortion overdriven delay to the max electric guitars.

Okay, it seems I was mistaken...it's obviously a bigger issue for other users than it is for me (mild annoyance) ...which only goes to show the lack of meaningful responses from Fender in a more deficient light.

I am not sure your attempt at sarcasm is all that helpful...Unamplified acoustics are indeed quieter than electric guitars, (in most situations) however, when acoustic guitars are used in a live setting with other amplified instruments, they are in fact amplified. They are used at comparable volume levels and once again this highlights the ineffectiveness of the acoustic presets from a functional perspective.
