Hey Guys,

We're taking a look at this now. I'll have something to report back shortly.

Didn't see this thread before, I made a similar thread. The acoustic models are way to low in volume.

To lower the output of the electric presets to even it out is NOT an option because the acoustic ones are just way too quiet! I was playing and singing with a group of 20 unmic'd and I had to turn up the preset volume to 10 and then have the volume on the amplifier on 10 to be heard! Not good.

Hey All,

I apologize for the delay. You'll notice that a lot of the cleaner, non-overdriven sounds are similarly lower in volume than some of the other presets. I recommend adjusting the main amp volume accordingly. Please remember that you can also adjust the volume of Band Tracks independently of the amp simulator volume.

Hey, I'm sorry, but that is a non answer.

I don't have a db meter but I can judge loud and soft

The acoustic amps are not anywhere near the same volume as the clean Champ or Blackface

Aside from my subjective judgement lets take a look at logic.

If the clean Champ and Blackface volume were as low as the acoustic wouldn't there be all sorts of complaints? Because the acoustic models ARE UN-USABLE even in a very small club.

Have you listened to the acoustic amp A/B with the Champ?

Another Anecdotal Observation

At a Clean Champ or Blackface factory preset, my DEC amps master volume is around 4

The acoustic models need to be at 10 to sound the same

But my question stands. Have you personally tried this, because I hope you a reallying on somebody else's determination. Normally you seem like a most knowledgeable fellow.

Loren,

In addition to the problem stated above, how do I use my Fender footswitch to switch between a distorted setting to acoustic (a simple, conventional use-case), if I then need to turn the volume up on the amp to hear anything (and by 'anything' I mean a n y t h i ng) at all?

uh what you're basically saying is that it can't be fixed and the acoustic amps will be unusable in many scenarios.

Sorry Loren, but this is simply not the case. They are in NO WAY similar in volume.

Essentially what you are recommending to do makes absolutely no sense if you want to use any more than 1 or 2 presets. I would like to able to choose any preset to jam along with and flick between them without having to scroll through every preset and adjust the volume.

This has slipped off the front page and feel it still needs to be adequately addressed...

Funny thing is the Vibro Champ's loudest voice is #16 the acoustic. I would have expected the Acoustic on the Mustang to be one of the loudest presets/voice But wen playing an acoustic through the VCXD it can't handle the bass.

I just got a new G-Dec 3 15 and am thinking of returning it due to this issue. How can you expect us to use the amp when the output from preset to preset can differ so dramatically.

I just downloaded and installed the Blues Edition presets, and the problem if anything is now worse in some ways...whilst their are only 2 acoustic simulations on the Blues Edition, they are effectively useless...scrolling through the really tasty tracks and jaming along, is all fine until you hit the acoustic tracks..you then have no choice but to just skip over them or stop playing and adjust the volume considerably for these two individually.

I'm really disappointed at Fender for lack of meaningful responses on this pretty fundamental issue....it has been over 5 months!!
