Hi,
I'm using the Mac version of Fender's preset editor. I can make presets, upload or download presets to/from my Mac to the G-Dec30.
Now I can also save my presets, BUT, when I want to open the saved preset I receive an error telling me that it appears not to be a G-DEC 30 preset. I can open presets made with the PC version though.

When I look in the syx file (hex-editor), there are some lines missing when I compare the PC saved file and the Mac saved file. (Hope I;m making sense here).

Anyone else experiencing this? I use Leopard (OS X 10.5.1) and version 1.0.1 of Fenders preset editor (only PC has version 1.0.2).

My workaround now is create presets in the PC version, save it and then open it in the Mac version. But this is not a fine workaround.

Hope there is a solution for this.

P.S. I can save and re-open a full bank of sounds, but not single presets!

An updated version of the Mac Preset Editor which fixes this bug is coming soon. I'll post another message once it's up on the downloads page. Thanks,

Thanks Brian, good news. I tried the Mac Preset Utility for the G-DEC 30, but it seems to be still version 1.01? Am I looking at the wrong place?

It looks like the update accidentally got posted to the wrong spot on the website. We're working to get the links resolved but you can temporarily download the file from this link:
http://www.fender.com/support/downloads ... PE_Mac.zip

I'll post again when I get notification that links have been corrected. Sorry for the confusion,
Unfortunately the linked file is for the G-Dec and not the G-Dec 30. Also it is for an Intel Mac OSX instead of the PPC Mac OSX. Will there also be an update for the G-Dec 30 running on Mac OSX PPC G5?

It actually is the G-DEC30 utility. The fixed G-DEC30 preset editor got accidentally put in the wrong location. Unfortunately the person who can fix these links is out sick. As far as the intel/ppc issue, I'll have to check with the programmer that wrote those apps because I'm not quite sure. Sorry for the confusion,

OK, the links on the download page should all be resolved now :D . Like I said before, sorry for all the confusion and thanks for being patient.

I also asked and the Mac utilities are currently being built such that they should run on Intel and PPC macs.

I can actually save my B-DEC presets now. Nice!

Suddenly, my ULT-4 footswitch is much more useful. I can organize and order my presets, download them to the B-DEC and sequence through them with the ULT-4.

Any news on a Universal Binary version of the 1.02 Preset Editor for the G-DEC 30? (It's now inly for Intel Macs). Looking forward to it.

Hi,

Sorry for the troubleshooting stuff, but proper chanels have not helped.

The pre set editor for gdec 30 will not install on a ppc mac (intel only)
the preset editor for gdec will load on both...
I called the customer relations desk... they sent me to mygdec.com but havent gotten a reply... My "studio" mac is a g4 tiger 10.4 . I do have a newer Imac that preset will load on so I know it does work on the newer models.

Help...

Bill
