I have a G-Dec 3 30 with firmware ver 1.04 and I'm running Fuse v 2.0. My G-Dec initially syncs to fuse without issue and I can play audio backing tracks without a problem. Intermitantly, three or four times during every session the backing track stops playing through the G-Dec and Fuse starts flashing along with the amp connected light in Fuse flashing between red and green. If I unplug the usb and plug it back in the amp reconnects and resyncs. Also during this time it's not possible to play backing tracks from the amp itself.

It's starting to get frustrating.

Hi, a few things come to mind, heat, cpu throttles and anti-virus suites.
If its a laptop, usually cpu throttles are default, to save battery life, and
lots of musicians disable them, or put the setting on maximum performance.
Even desktops with AC grade fans can have cpu throttles on by default

If a laptop has a cooling issue, it could be launching fans and slowing the
cpu at the same time. You may find a utility to turn the fans on all the time
to minimize porly coded interruptions.

Anti virus suites work when you're connected, the big names like Mcafee and Norton often are avoided by musicians. I have avast free and Spybot S&D.

In your bios, I would shut down anything unnecessary for music one by one, bluetooth, webcam etc.

If you have a LCD, is it at the default screensize? Is a screensaver enabled?
Some videocards share an IRQ with usb, so there is room for trouble. Are other usb devices connected? The port can make a difference, some are
OHCI, some are EHCI.

Start the windows taskmanager (rightclick in the taskbar) with FUSE running, and note whats running, I have 36 processes with FUSE running,
count your processes, and recount next time the problem occurs, if there are more, then maybe you can spot a villain.

Hope this helps.

www.blackviper.com is a great site, lists of configuration improvements to
optimize windows versions.
Cheers

Hi seancbailey,

One additional thing you may want to try is to turn off your system sounds. On Windows you would want to go to the (Vista & 7) Start button/Control Panel/Sound, and Manage Audio Devices or (XP) Start button/Control Panel/Sounds and Audio Devices. Once there, select the Sounds tab. There you will select No Sounds for the Sound Scheme. We have seem playback interrupted when system sounds are trying to voice at the same time as the Fender G-DEC 3 is working.

Best Regards,
