Does anyone know a good mp3 editing program that can be used to edit mp3 files so they can be used as backing tracks? Especially the capability to suppress lead or rythm guitar parts and re-record to the SD card for play along. I am using Sonar Home Studio for MIDI files and it works great, but I haven't found a decent program for mp3.

Fender has provided a few mp3's with the original artist's vocals and the guitar parts have been suppressed. They're great but there's not enough of the Golden Oldies available.

Any suggestions will be appreciated. Thanks

Try this...In Fuse go to the dropdown list in the backing track dialogue box and where you can choose mono or stereo you can pick cancel center and it takes out most of the vocals and if it is an instrumental, it takes out the lead guitar. Do the preview to listen to it before you commit.

Thanks JoeR, I'll try that. I was hoping to find a software program that would cancel, center, right, or left channels without losing sould quality.

Have you tried the software on the cd Fender provided with the amp? I think that's what they are for. Haven't loaded them yet, so I can't comment anymore about them.

I think Radiohead and some other bands release free download project files of some music, so their fans can do remixing, choosing just certain componants as desired. No vocal, no guitar, what the need may be. A good googling should find some.
Cheers
