I just bot the g gdec amp and i'm a newbie to the guitar. How do i know which key each preloaded backing track is in. I see where you can change the key but my question is when you change and it say for example -1 is that down one whole step in the register? Thanks[/b]

Hey snicholas,

Welcome to the Fender forums.
The increments are measured in semitones. the G-DEC 3 Performance Notes will help you determine the key of unmodified Band Tracks.

I hope that helps.

Hey Lance,

Are you sure the file that you copied to your SD card is named gdec3_v1_04.upd? Also it must be copied to the root of the SD card.

Hi Loren, i think the file may be corrupted during the download, i downloaded it again and it worked. However, I still can't send a band track to my sd card from fuse, it disconnects the amp, then stalls out. I'm going to shut my pc down and reboot and see if that helps, but I'm kinda doubtful. Any other ideas?

Would you mind trying to transfer a preset to the SD card? I know that Band Tracks can be rather large in file size. Some of them can take a long time to copy using Fender FUSE. Presets are small. That will tell us if there is an issue or not.

The backing tracks take a couple minutes to move from computer to amp sd card, presets almost instantly.
thx
