Both the GDec 3 Fifteen and Thirty look good on paper (Specs) and sound good on youtube, but I have 1 question.

How is the speaker connected? Hardwired or via a jack?

How easy is it to get the amp output redirected?

I know that the Thirty has 2 outputs for Stereo connection to a PA or such, and that the Fifteen lacks these connections.

As i would not be intending to connect either amp to a PA/Mixing Desk etc, is there any advantage (other than wattage) of having the Fiteen or the Thirty?

My main interest is being able to easily connect the amp to an external speaker cab.

Thanks.

Hello jbloggs,

Welcome to the Fender forums. Honestly, even if you don't plan on sending the amp signal to a PA, the 3 Thirty is still the way to go. The extra power coupled with having a bigger woofer and separate tweeter easily justifies the extra cost. However, tapping into the amp output and patching in another cabinet isn't supported and will void your warranty. The speaker is hardwired to the amp output. Just an FYI.

Thanks for the reply Loren

Dont need 30 watts of G-Dec 3 Thirty ( not yet available here in Australia as far as I know), as I have valve amps from 2 to 60 watts.

Just want a pracice amp that wont disturb anybody in the house, let alone the neighbours.

Not worried about warranty.

Will have to find a store that actually has a G-Dec Fifteen in stock to try.

Thanks again
