I am wondering if anyone has been able to dial in a drippy surf tone with their GDEC 3?

Check out the Surfs Up preset in the FUSE Community.

Have fun!

I use that one but it's not as drippy as I want.

Billy:

Describing sound is always hard but what do you mean by "drippy"?
Do you have a reference: i.e. is there a certain surf song you think is more drippy than another song?

I find the Diffusion control can help change the effect between what I call a "bubbling, percolating" sound and a more dry echo.

I'm thinking of this sound when I say "bubbley": See for eg. at 3:00min. http://www.youtube.com/user/rockongoodp ... 0eepFjyfBk

That is pretty close what I'm looking for. I was about to purchase a Boss 65 Reverb pedal to get it. Sounds like this:

Billy, make sure you demo the Boss FDR1 before you buy one. There are several videos of this pedal including one on the Guitar Center website. I ordered one and have to tell you that while its not a bad pedal it really doesn't sound quite as "drippy" so to speak as that link. It's a decent digital reverb pedal but played through a number of tube amps, I've yet to get a true Deluxe Reverb sound. I'm sure you can try one at your local music store and see if you like it.

Good news, with a little palm muting and tweaking the reverb I am getting "drippy". How drippy? Drippy enough to not make me feel like I need to buy a new pedal. Thanks Fender Gdec 3!
