I tried one of the new VT30 amps from Vox before I bought my G-DEC 3 Thirty in June, and was really disappointed in the pitch shift feature. It was advertised to work with chords as well as single notes. I did not find it to do so in two different trips to Guitar Center to try it out.

I didn't try the feature in the G-DEC 3, as I really couldn't do any tweaking on the display unit, but I liked what I heard otherwise and bought the Fender anyway. I was just able to try the pitch shift feature out and WOW! I was able to get a 12-string sound similar to the Byrds and Peter & Gordon. The only thing missing from these amps is WYSIWYG dialing in of settings. If you're connected to FUSE, you're not even missing that.

Anyway, kudos to Fender for getting the pitch shift to function correctly and actually be useful for something other than leads!
