I'm a little excited over here and had to make this post real quick. My buddy has a pristine 1969 Twin Reverb that he dropped off for me to check out. I have owned a 130 watt Music Man 212HD since the 90's. I thought I'd plug them both in and see how close these two were....PRETTY CLOSE! Close enough for me not to covet my friend's Fender. Then I got out my GDEC 3 to see how close it was to the Fender. I had the Fender Twin on 3 and the GDEC on 8 but it sounded almost exactly the same. You have to take into consideration the Twin has two speakers and is being driven by tubes BUT the tone and sound qualities of the 69 amp were all there in GDEC. I have been looking at some 30 watt tube amps to gig with but after my little sampling I'm starting to think the GDEC will cover it all with my two powered PA speakers connected to the GDEC 3's line outs. PLUS my GDEC can cover a lot more ground sonically than any vintage amp. GREAT JOB FENDER!!!
