I understand that the original G-Dec 30 allows you to upload user defined midi backing tracks. each backing track could have 3 amp presets assigned to that song.
aka I could have QA1=Preset 1 QA2=Preset 15 and QA3=Preset 20

This allowed you to change your tone on the fly while playing along to the backing track, basically each song could have a clean, distorted, and overdrive tone that you could toggle between for that song.

Each Backing track allowed for 3 different QA1 thru QA3 settings.

Is it true that the new G-Dec 3 Thirty doesn't allow this at all? That you are limited to 3 universal QA presets only and that if you switch the QA it forces the restart of your backing tracks?

Isn't this a major step backwards for feature support for the Gdec line?
As a guy that just upgraded from the old to the new I'm really kinda sour that I'm losing what seems like a basic crucial feature to get wav and mp3 playback support. And if changing from QA1 thru QA3 forces the backing track to reset to start your now limited to 1 tone only for playing along with tracks. You can't have a rythm or Lead sound per song?

Surely I'm missing something? I must be doing it wrong Right?

If you start the band track from Quick Access mode, then you can access your 3 QA presets without stopping the band track. If you try to do so from Preset mode, then you are correct, the band track will stop when you change presets. Also it is not possible to have 3 different QA settings tied to a given preset. The QA presets are global and do not change with the preset or band track associated to it.

These are features I have been asking for in various threads. I hope they will be able to incorportate some of this things with a firmware and software update. Some of these simple changes would be a night and day difference regarding the performance features of this amp.
