Like many of you, I love the G-Dec except for the quality of the speaker. I'm thinking of connecting it to an external 1x12 cabinet. Can this be done, and if so, using which connection? Line out? The guy at my guitar store said it was impossible but I saw a post showing such a connection. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Very simple. There is a 1/4" jack in the back of the G-Dec 30 that is labeled "EXT SPKR" it is rated for an 8 ohm cabinet and will run it at 30watts. It is located left of the line out jacks.

I have just purchased a G-Dec 3 30 amp (Adelaide South Australia June 2011) and although it has the 2 left and right line out jacks on the back there is definitely not another speaker out jack on the back of the amp!

I have a fender Bandmaster and a Fender Stage 112 SE amp and I would like to be able to port the Band to one of these. I can see in the Utility setup where I can direct the Band only to the line out jacks no problem.

However what is not clear is which line out I should use. The left one or the right one or Y jack the both into the input of one of the external amps. The instructions and available manuals are not very clear at all as to the "Do's and Don'ts" in this regard.

Should the line out jacks be ported to the input of an external amp? It is not clear anywhere in the instructions I have to hand. Should the line out jacks only be connected to external speaker boxes?? If so what Fender speaker cabinets would be suitable for this? Should the line out jacks be connected to only one external cabinet with a Y connector or should there be 2 external cabinets, one for the left and one for the right line out jacks?

I am considering getting one of the Jazzmaster Ultralight combo amps for my Jazzmaster guitar. Would this be a better setup for what I want to do?

I do not want to damage the pre-amps in one of the external amps so would appreciate some advice on the foregoing and how the G-Dec 3 30 amp should be setup to achieve the desired outcomes.

I would like to be able to port the "Band only" out to one of the external amps and use a guitar through the G-Dec 3 30 amp.
